The 2nd day of Bahrain pre-season test-2 is held on Friday. Once again it was Force India’s Sergio Perez atop the timing sheets on the 2nd day of the final pre-season test in Bahrain. His 1:35.570 was only marginally quicker than Fernando Alonso in second, with the pair racking up over 100 laps each. Red Bull enjoyed a better day. Not only setting its most competitive time yet, but Daniel Ricciardo also lapped the Sakhir circuit 66 times without causing a red flag. The 1st day of Bahrain pre-season test-2 is held on Thursday. Force India’s Sergio Perez topped the timing screens in Bahrain with a 1:35.290. He held the top spot from an early morning run as his rivals focused on reliabilty and long runs in the afternoon. Valtteri Bottas was 2nd quickest with Kimi Raikkonen not far behind, but the times were well down on the posted last week with a focus on race simulations. The 4th day of Bahrain pre-season test-1 is held on Saturday. Nico Rosberg was easily the quickest man on the final day of the first half of Bahrain test, and whilst times mean very little, his 1:33.283 – under a second off last years pole time – will surely raise some eyebrows. He found a second over Lewis Hamilton’s best time from Friday, to go 1.6 seconds clear of Jenson Button’s McLaren in second. The 3rd day of Bahrain pre-season test-1 is held on Friday. Lewis Hamilton impressed on the 3rd day of the second pre-season test to go quickest by some margin in his Mercedes W05. He set his early pace, a 1:34.264 – under 2 seconds off last years Bahrain pole time – during some back-to-back short stints on the softer tyre. Jenson Button was the only man to get anywhere near Hamilton’s time, albeit some seven tenths off thanks to a late run in the afternoon. He took his tally to a mammoth 103 laps. The 2nd day of Bahrain pre-season test-1 is held on Thursday. McLaren’s Kevin Magnussen impressed to go quickest on Thursday in Bahrain. The Danish driver was over 1.5 seconds quicker than anybody else as he sailed to the top of times ahead of Nico Hulkenberg. Fernando Alonso was 3rd fastest with Nico Rosberg 4th. Valtteri Bottas made up for lost time by posting a massive 116 laps, eventually putting in a 1:37.328 to secure 5th ahead of Caterham’s Kamui Kobayashi.
