The final day of Jerez winter test is held on Friday. Felipe Massa put Williams at the head of the timechart on the final day of the frist pre-season test. The session ended under red flags after McLaren’s Kevin Magnussen put his machine in the turn ten barriers. He eventually finished 4th quickest and completed 110 laps. Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso posted the most, with a total of 115 laps and he was second quickest on the day, just under a second slower than former team-mate Felipe Massa. The 3rd day of Jerez winter test is held on Thursday. McLaren’s new driver Kevin Magnussen kept the team atop the times on the penultimate day of the Jerez pre-season test, after he took the wheel from his team-mate Jenson Button in the afternoon. Jenson Button meanwhile was 4th fastest after covering 40 laps, to give McLaren a combined total of 91 laps on day 3 alone. The 2nd day of Jerez winter test is held on Wednesday. After a dissapointing Tuesday in which McLaren managed not a single lap, Jenson Button had a successful day. He completed 43 laps to go quickest time it was six tenths faster than Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen achieved during his 47 laps. Valtteri Bottas was third again for Williams. He completed 35 laps. Mercedes’s Nico Rosberg lapped the Jerez circuit 97 times, including a 24-lap stint. Sergio Perez’s day ended early when his Force India broke down in a cloud of smoke. Formula1 winter test started on Tuesday. 2014 drivers and team staffs gathered and new machines revealed at Jerez circuit in Spain. Lewis Hamilton completed several trouble free laps before a front-wing failure. His Mercedes hit the barriers at turn one. Raikkonen on Ferrari started next, but stopped after just a few corners. It seems to be an electrical fault. Despite the problems, he topped Hamilton’s best time by seven tenthes of a second. Valtteri Bottas on Williams marked third quickest time.
